Robert Parker (89)

The 2006 Pommard Clos de la Commaraine - from a little-known site and Jadot monopole just north of the village (some of whose fruit is sold as village Pommard) - smells of smoky black tea and mince-meat (mingling dried cherries, brown spices, candied citrus zest, and beef stock). Firm and bright on the palate, this exhibits an invigorating finishing combination of cut with smoky, spicy pungency. While texturally a bit spare, this Pommard charms with its brightness and dynamics, virtues atypical for that commune.

Winespectator (90)

A core of wild berry and cherry flavors is wrapped in solid tannins. There's length and intensity, and everything is in the right place.
