Winespectator (94)

Elegant and creamy, this is silky on the palate, yet the refined texture belies the rich and expressive palate of ripe cherry and strawberry pâte de fruit, brioche, Grand Marnier, espresso and exotic ground spice. A rich rosé, framed by finely honed acidity, this is a food wine.

Robert Parker (93)

Exactly the same base wine as the MV10 but blended before bottling with 8% red Pinot Noir from an 64-year-old vineyard in Aÿ that gives very tiny, juicy and structured grapes, Giraud's NV Aÿ Grand Cru Fût de Chêne Brut MV Rosé has a lovely orange-pink color and opens to a slightly reductive bouquet initially, but then becomes pure and very delicate yet intense, wiht red fruits, red wine and floral aromas. On the palate, this is a medium-bodied yet concentrated, fresh and well-structured Rosé with purity, finesse and mineral length. It has matured fruit flavors in the persistent aftertaste, representing a good portion of reserve wines that add a final layer of complexity. Aged for seven years on yeast on the bottle the wine is pretty vinous, and its initially slightly oaky taste and grip needs a big fat fish.
