Robert Parker (93)

The 2007 “Pera-manca” Tinto, revisited only at the winery in Alentejo, has come together rather well and deserves an uptick. Still showing elegantly, it is a 50/50 blend of Aragonez and Trincadeira. With a little more development since I last saw it, this has become irresistible, blossoming, putting on weight and developing more expressive flavors. Its elegance, the winemaker says, is largely the product of its vintage. In any event, this is both a refined and quite tasty Pera-Manca, with finesse and reasonable depth. It may yet improve more.

Winespectator (87)

This presents an interesting mix of dried cherry and sandalwood flavors that feature plenty of creamy notes, with white pepper on the finish.

Jancis Robinson (17)

Aragonez and Trincadeira. Deep and dark and smouldering on the nose and palate. Blackberries, black currants, an almost-there coffee and black olive skein running through the mid palate. Compact and burnished tannins. Quite sweet intense fruit, but it's balanced.
