Nose
Fresh and invigorating—a floral symphony carried on a spring breeze. Lemon peel cuts through the maltiness, a crisp and elegant edge. Straw and lilac blossom mingle with a faint touch of tree sap, teasing the senses with its natural purity. The wood, dry and commanding, hints at a refined maturity. A delicate whiff of rose water adds an ethereal charm. A drop of water reveals black tea tannins and intensifies the rose water, while the dry wood notes deepen.
Taste
A sweet and buttery opening unfolds, balanced by lilac blossom and a bright squeeze of lime juice. There's a fascinating juxtaposition here: charred brown bread richness and resinous complexity dance together. The sourdough tang brings an earthy, comforting warmth. A touch of water mutes the citrus, allowing the charred brown bread and a faint, smoky soot to take the stage.
Finish
Medium in length yet lingering in its elegance. Mint and lemon balm add a cooling lift, with a final flourish of espresso's dark bitterness. That lilac blossom remains, whispering its floral farewell.
