The Bowmore 27 Year Old Port Cask of the Vintner's Trilogy has matured twice in the famous no. 1 Vaults, the oldest whisky warehouse in Scotland, where he developed his balanced sweet, spicy, salty and peaty flavor

The first 13 years he stored in ex-bourbon barrels, the next 14 years in port wine pipes. So he develops a dark mahogany color and a complex character.

Bowmore 27 Year Old Port Cask is not refrigerated and bottled in cask strength (48.3% vol.) To maintain full flavor.

CHARACTER FEATURES

Optics: mahogany

Scent: Peaty, spicy character with notes of toffee, herbs, heather and a hint of rosemary. There are also nuances of port wine, raspberry coulis and red berries.

Palate: notes of earth, salted dates, dried herbs, sweet tobacco, dried cranberries and a hint of white pepper

Taste: sweet-salty and smoky at the same time, blended with aromas of sultanas, salted caramel and sweet, leathery notes. Also echoes of pepper, spices and violets are to be discovered. "
