The Teeling 16 years old 2003 Ex-Abafado Casks Finish Single Cask for Bresser & Timmer is a 16 year old Irish single malt whiskey special bottled for the Dutch importer Bresser & Timmer. This Teeling was distilled in 2003 and matured in ex bourbon casks followed by a 12 month finish in Quinta de Alorna Ex-Abofado casks. Abafado is a sweet fortified wine aged for 5 years in wooden barrels with an alcohol content of 17.5%. An excellent dessert wine! These Abafado casks are bottled on April 27, 2020 at cask strength of 55.2%, non chill filtered and without the addition of dyes.

“The whiskey is beautifully balanced with a beautifully rich, full nose. In it apricot, a little peach and nuts (almond / walnut). The taste is particularly rich in which the fruit returns. Especially in the aftertaste, it is obvious to see the "marriage" with the ex-Abafado barrels. A very long sweet rich finish is the result. Very nice with chocolate and / or desserts with chocolate and orange. ”
