Just barely peeking into the off-dry range this year is the "Old Vines". Discreet on the nose with notes of apple and anise, the wine remains sensory, on the palate thanks to the piquant opposing acidity it is harmoniously dry. Much Moselle typicality!
This beautifully combines the fruity and zesty elements, delivering great harmony between a vibrant array of peach, dried apricot and white-plum flavors and the firm backbone of acidity. The long, supple finish is well spiced.
Deep stone fruit and wild herb aromas with a fascinating hint of smokiness from the lees. Impressive power plus excellent vitality and precision for the 2022 vintage. Stunning slatey minerality at the very long and complete finish. From 70-year-old vines, yet almost 50,000 bottles of this wine were produced! Vegan.
