Very pure and pretty aromas of currants and black cherries follow through to a medium to full body with very fine tannins and cedar, chocolate and light spearmint in the aftertaste. Pretty finish.
Polished and refined, with velvety tannins and generous ripe blackberry, huckleberry and black currant flavors. Delivers details of white truffle, cigar box and allspice that linger on the long, expressive finish.
Beautiful deep nose, sweet pastille fruit, floral and delicate as well as having lots of power. Textured and with a purity alongside cassis, blueberry, eucalyptus and a graphite, mineral, saline streak to finish. Really well balanced and, while youthful, is drinking well now and should age very well. (AC)
This is a classic Coonawarra vintage from the region's most historic producer. Rich aromas of blackberry and currant jam, menthol, tobacco and florals lead to a powerful palate laced with chiseled, powdery tannins and lifted acidity. It's hefty, but it's also balanced, the corners neatly tucked in. Old school Aussie Cab with a long life ahead.
