Spiced dark cherries, bramble berries and spice box, crushed rocks and fine cedar. Full-bodied, layered and encompassing on the palate. Super-fine tannins. Shows freshness and tension to the fruit. Steady and focused with a lingering slightly chalky finish. 67.4% cabernet sauvignon, 17.7% syrah and 14.9% cabernet franc.
The 2021 Vin Perdu is another terrific wine from Amuse Bouche. Cabernet aromatics drive this mid-weight, vibrant and savory red, with crushed flowers, sweet red-toned fruit, mint, cedar, tobacco and dried herbs all running through. I especially admire the understated depth here.
