Robert Parker (94)

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Mt. Veeder is made up of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it gives up bold crème de cassis, black berry pie and blueberry compote scents with hints of Chinese five spice, potpourri and underbrush plus a waft of new leather. Full-bodied, rich, spicy and opulent in the mouth, the layers of black fruit preserves and exotic spices are nicely structured by velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long. 1,411 cases produced.

James Suckling (92)

This is solid, with a big core of currant, fig and boysenberry paste flavors that are powerfully rendered, framed by a roasted apple wood note and backed by a thread of licorice snap at the very end. Approachable for the fruit and cellar-worthy due to the gutsy grip.
