Lovely, with a creamy core of mulberry, plum and black cherry puree flavors that glide through, unveiling additional light violet, hibiscus and red tea details along the way. Shows a late echo of incense, too, as the fruit lingers prettily. Very seductive.
The 2021 Pinot Noir Finn pours a jeweled ruby and is sourced from two vineyards. It offers up nearly ripe, attractive smoky notes of cherry, cracked pepper, and dusty earth. Full-bodied, it’s expansive on the palate, with ripe black raspberry, pine, and anise. This needs time but is well structured and has excellent balance. Drink 2025-2040.
The 2021 Pinot Noir Finn is the crown jewel in the DuMOL portfolio this vintage, offering unparalleled perfume, length and harmony. Its aromas blossom slowly, from rhubarb, blackberry jam and pomegranate, to pure accents of licorice, iodine and Earl Grey tea. The palate explodes with concentrated flavors, underpinned by tremendous spicy accents. It has a seamless, silky mouthfeel, an ethereal support of dusty tannins and a tremendously long, floral finish that just goes on and on—it's impossible not to take another sip of this dreamy Pinot Noir!
A compressed and structured pinot with so much tannin backbone yet refined and polished. Steely and chewy. Blue fruits with strawberries. Very aromatic. Full-bodied, tight and racy. Great length here. Mostly Calera.
