Tasted last year, the 2005 Chardonnay Three Sisters is showing even better with another year of bottle age. With extraordinary minerality, wet stones, almost a liqueur of rocks and honeyed citrus as well as nectarines and orange blossoms, this wine is stunningly rich and builds incrementally on the palate It finishes with zesty acidity, great purity, and superb intensity. This is a wine of extraordinary gravitas and should drink nicely for 10 or more years.
Aromas of anise, dried apricot, fig and spice are ripe, full-bodied and complex, yet marked by a twinge of minerally, cedary bitterness and returning to a tangy nectarine note.?
