Their best and oldest (40+ years) plots of Aragonez and Trincadeira. Fermented in big (12,000-litre) oak vats and aged 18 months in 3,000–5,000 litre French oak casks. TA 5.5 g/l, pH 3.7.
Deep crimson. Rich, dark fruit, succulent with sweet spice, a classic Alentejo mature red. Firm, chewy, deep. Embracing you with its fruit and spice, all rounded out and deep, chewy, long. More to come. The tannins still quite thick and needing time to become more refined but you could definitely enjoy this now with something meaty, or savoury. Wholehearted, and just fresh enough.
