Planted in 1956. The vines are tiny with tiny berries. Chris Williams, post-Meerlust, wanted to keep a foot in Stellenbosch and thinks this wine is more expressive of old vines than of the variety itself.
Very heady and intense. Really intense on the palate too! This makes a great, rich, lightly salty argument for old-vine quality. Pungent finish with a light chewiness.
