The 2015 Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese is the top botrytis selection of the vintage. Super clear, intense, fine, fresh and complex on the nose, this Riesling has gorgeous purity, finesse and spiciness. This is a highly elegant and concentrated, though weightless and salty TBA with very rare finesse at this level of sweetness and concentration. The finish is lemon-fresh and fine, and neither too sweet nor too powerful. It's an artwork of fine Riesling. Picked at 170° Oechsle, bottled with 270 grams of residual sugar and 12 grams of acidity, it has 6% alcohol and a total production of 90 liters. It's not in the markets yet, and will probably be auctioned in Trier one day.
