Based on rather young vines (the oldest are 21 years old; no clones though) the 2014 Pinot Noir Kalkstein offers a super clear, fine, fresh and aromatic Pinot aroma with perfect ripeness, lovely herbal spices and a hint of toast (or speck) in the background. This has ripeness, purity and freshness—all in perfect shape. Silky, highly elegant and aromatic on the palate, this is a full-bodied, juicy, intense and perfectly balanced Pinot Noir with very fine tannins and a long, persistent finish. "There were absolutely zero problems with suzukii neither in 2014 nor in 2016 and we did not have any drought problems in 2015 thanks to the biodynamic farming."
