Superb aromatic depth. Rich crushed violets and cassis with leaves and a swathe of roasting herbs with dark-colored foliage. There are also fresh, concrete-like stony notes, cassis, black cherries, blueberries and red currants. The oak is buried in a deeply woven spicy mode. The palate is elegant and plush with smoothly rendered fine tannins carrying the beautifully ripe cassis, dark plums, chocolate and cherries. Seductive and long. Drink or hold. Screw cap. 1888 bottles made.
