The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot, aged in 70% new French oak. Deep garnet-purple in color, it comes bursting from the glass with bold crème de cassis, blueberry compote, dark chocolate and candied violets with touches of charcuterie, fragrant soil and cinnamon stick. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is charged with exciting energy, featuring loads of black and blue fruit sparks and a fine-grained, plush frame, finishing with great length and a compelling touch of minerality.
Showing the quality of the vintage, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon offers a voluptuous, rounded, full-bodied style as well as textbook notes of crème de cassis, tobacco, cedarwood, and earth. Deep, plush, and seamless on the palate, drink this gorgeous wine over the coming 15 years or more.
