The recently bottled 2021 Chardonnay Justice Vineyard is lightly flinty to begin before unfolding to peach, green apple and honeyed undertones. The medium-bodied palate is ultra silky and concentrated, with a tightly coiled expression and a long, flinty finish, which suggests it will require several years to unfold in the bottle.
Also bright yellow, the 2021 Chardonnay Justice Vineyard is packed with flinty reduction, candied green apple, salty earth, and fresh flowers. Medium to full-bodied, it brings another level of electric intensity on the palate. Dense and energetic, it has a custardy, rounded feel while simultaneously propelling forward with notes of white pepper through the long finish. It will do well with a couple years of aging. Drink 2025-2035.
The 2021 Chardonnay Justice Vineyard is a total pleasure on the nose, blending crushed rocks and curry leaves with nectarines and sweet spice. It's distinctly mineral in style, with vibrant acidity motivating crunchy saline tones as citrus-tinged green apples cascade throughout. This finishes incredibly long and full of tension, leaving savory herbs and a salty flourish as the mouth is left watering for more. This is packed full of potential.
