Also brilliant and a superb example of Syrah from the Rocks region of the Walla Walla Valley, the 2010 Syrah La Paciencia Vineyard delivers classic aromas and flavors of ground pepper, steak tartar, wild herbs and assorted dark berry-styled fruit. A 100% Syrah that comes from a high density planting located just behind Cayuse’s Armada Vineyard, it is medium to full-bodied, rich and supple on the palate, with an elegant, seamless feel that’s hard to resist. Count me as a fan and this beauty will continue to shine for upwards of another decade.
