This charming, full-bodied 1999 is a sleeper of the vintage. It reveals beautiful, sweet fruit redolent with notes of raspberries, black currants, and spicy wood. The wine is soft, velvety-textured, yet concentrated, with good delineation. It is a strong effort in 1999.
Aromas of black licorice, cherry and cedar. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a fruity finish. Light, but pleasant.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 18/20 points.
