Given the 1993 Latour's exceptional quality, it is not surprising to see how well-made the 1993 Forts de Latour, the estate's second wine, has turned out. It displays a deep ruby color, and a spicy nose of wood, herbs, nuts, and red and black fruits. More supple than its brawnier big brother, this wine possesses moderate tannin, as well as a medium-bodied, slightly austere personality.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 17/20 points.
