Deep purple-black in color, the 2020 Bourgneuf sashays out of the glass with expressive notes of crushed black cherries, boysenberries and prunes, plus wafts of melted chocolate, Indian spices and cedar chest, with a hint of cardamom. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock-full of spicy/peppery black fruit preserves, framed by ripe, rounded tannins and lovely freshness, finishing long and earthy.
Blue fruits with intense violets and some black olives on the nose. Full-bodied with polished tannins that melt into the wine. Super finish. So fine. Gorgeous.
Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, ochre rim. Fine nuances of nougat and cardamom, a hint of noble wood, black cherries, subtle liquorice and fresh orange zest. Complex, juicy, ripe blackberry fruit, firm tannins, mineral finish, chocolaty aftertaste with savouriness.
