The 2015 Grand Vin Blanc Sec from Lafaurie-Peyraguey is a blend of 73% Sémillon and 27% Sauvignon Blanc that was cropped at 14 hectoliters per hectare. It has a tightly wound, vibrant bouquet with apple blossom and dewy meadow. The palate is very well balanced with fine linearity, a subtle marine influence with a razor-sharp finish that will gain weight once in bottle. This steely white Bordeaux is well worth seeking out.
Winespectator / James Suckling (95)
This is fresh and floral with sandalwood and cedar aromas to the pear and green-apple character. Full-bodied yet tight and bright. Crisp and focused. Linear and very long.
