The 2013 LaGrange exhibits an attractive deep ruby color as well as less oak than is normally found during the first year of tasting. It offers supple tannins, excellent texture and good purity.
A streamlined style, with a focused beam of lightly mulled raspberry and red currant fruit, underscored by singed balsam and licorice root notes.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 17/20 points.
