I found this wine lacking fruit and tasting sinewy and tannic from cask, but I am delighted to say it is performing well from bottle. It will be a noteworthy wine to purchase if it is discounted as much as I suspect it will be. Talbot's 1992 reveals an exotic nose of jammy black-cherries, truffles, licorice, and smoky, herbal scents. Following the extroverted bouquet, the wine offers a medium-bodied, supple, juicy, succulent style with low acidity and plenty of ripe fruit.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 16/20 points.
