Fermented and matured in one-third new French oak, the 2017 Limoux Chardonnay offers honeyed aromas of ripe pears, accented by hints of pencil shavings and citrus. It's medium to full-bodied, round and generous in the mouth but remains focused and crisp, finishing with ample freshness and lemony length. While easy-drinking and correct, this vintage (unlike the terrific 2016) won't make anyone forget Burgundy. It should drink well for another year or two.
