Every bit as good as the 2012, the 2013 Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes Blanc is 100% Marsanne that spent 12 months in 100% new French oak. Full-bodied, concentrated and layered, with subtle vanilla, honeyed citrus and mint, it has awesome purity, a big mid-palate and rock-star length. It too will have two decades or more of longevity
Features a lovely mouthfeel, with caressing mango, peach and papaya flavors draped over racy bitter almond, orange zest and verbena notes. The long finish picks up green plum, salted butter and bitter almond notes. Approachable and well-integrated already, but this should easily stretch out with cellaring. The balance is impeccable.
