The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon (Yarden) was aged for 18 months in 40% new French oak and comes in at 14.5% alcohol. Like the rest of the mid-level reds here, this has a certain theme—it's fresh, elegant and shows mid-palate finesse. It is perfectly suited to be a food wine—in fact, that is its highest and best use. It has a certain sophistication to it. The oak affects this a bit at the moment, but it should absorb that well. The tannins are a little harder here than on the Syrah and the 2T, but they're not hard per se. You can approach this now, but it is not quite at peak.
