he 2019 Berg Schlossberg Riesling GG combines purity, intensity and complexity on the deep nose that reminds me of ripe apples, crushed stones, lemon rind, herbs and a layer of yeast. The attack on the palate is highly finessed and vital, revealing ripe, intense and elegant fruit, a full body with good mineral grip and a sustainable, complex finish. This is an excellent grand cru from Rüdesheim. 13.5% alcohol. Tasted from AP 19 20 in January 2021.
The expansive but precisely delineated blossom, citrus and exotic-fruit aromas suck you into this very concentrated yet succulent and vibrant GG that already makes a great statement. I love the very long, mouthwatering finish that has so much mineral freshness.
