Readers should seek out the 2013 Napanook (92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc) as soon as it is released. The finest Napanook ever made, it exhibits sweet vanillin, ripe, well-focused blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, cedarwood, spice box and forest floor. Opulent and full-bodied, it was terrific to taste, even from barrel. It should drink well for 15-20 years
Fabulous nose of mushrooms, like porcini, with black truffle that turns to citrus fruits such as orange and tangerine. Some vine bark. Full-bodied yet wonderfully firm and formed with refined and polished tannins. Super definition.?
