Deep garnet. Some cedar is still apparent on the very youthful nose, slightly masking the otherwise attractive cranberry, plums and cassis fruit aromas with a whiff of cloves. The palate is well balanced with medium to high acidity and medium to firm, ripe, velvety tannins. Long finish.
Intense aromas of crushed berry, mineral, tobacco and smoke. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and loads of ripe, rich fruit. Goes on for minutes. This is tight and well-structured.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 18/20 points.
