From a 15-hectare vineyard on gravel-rich soils, the 2019 Château de Bel-Air offers up aromas of petals, sweet red berries, plums and fresh herbs, followed by a medium-bodied, lively palate framed by powdery tannins and concluding with a somewhat herbaceous finish that depresses my score for what is otherwise a creditable Lalande de Pomerol.
Beautiful and complex aromas of orange peel, fruit tea, hazelnuts and berries follow through to a medium body with ultra-fine tannins and polished, refined tannins. Finesse with focus.
