A beautifully complex perfume of fresh tobacco as well as cigar smoke, sweet licorice, and black currants is followed by an elegant, pure, harmonious Margaux. While not a big wine, it is medium-bodied, intense, and moderately structured. It should improve in the bottle, and merit an outstanding score in 2-3 years.
Fine and elegant red. Aromas of berries, tobacco and barley. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a tobacco, cherry aftertaste.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 17/20 points.
