Notes of damp earth, composty, leafy vegetation and sweet currants, plums, and cherries in addition to some licorice jump from the glass of this evolved, deep ruby-colored wine that shows medium body, excellent concentration, an elegant but pure style, and nice texture and length.
This has a lot going on in the bottle with currants, sweet tobacco and berry aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins. A bit firm but it's there.
