This wine showed well in the tasting. Medium garnet-colored with considerable amber at the edge, the aromatics could have pushed this wine into the 90-point category, but the flavors were dry and angular, and there was considerable astringent tannin in the finish. Nevertheless, the bouquet was classic Pauillac and Lynch Bages - sweet and cedary, with plenty of herb-tinged black fruits, smoked meat, and game-like notes. It is a medium-bodied effort made in the old, elegant, slightly excessively tannic style of Bordeaux made during this period

Bräunliches, mittleres Rot, aufhellender Rand. Ein verrücktes Bouquet zeigend, alter Pferdesattel, frisch gestochener Torf, Trüffel, Humus, dunkles Peru-Balsam, Natermanns-Kräutertee, Rosinen und Korinthen. Im Gaumen satt, fleischig, eindrucksvolle, warme Cabernet-Aromatik. Geniale Magnum mit 19/20.
