A complex concoction of dried herbs, damp earth, spice box, and sweet cherries and currants makes for an interesting aromatic profile. In the mouth, the wine is medium-bodied with excellent concentration, firm tannin, and plenty of punch as well as length.
Aromas of sweet fruit and chocolate follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and a fresh finish. Very balanced, yet there's a solid core of fruit underneath.
Good full, dark red. Sexy aromas of redcurrant, smoked meat, minerals and tobacco. Suave on entry, then fine-grained and bright in the middle palate, with silky flavors of plum, truffle and game complemented by a lightly herbal element. This spreads out nicely to coat the palate on the back end. This has turned out well.
