The 1989 Pavie-Decesse is a dense, tannic, full-bodied, rich, and, not surprisingly, backward wine for the vintage. It displays an herbaceous, mineral-scented, black-cherry fruitiness, full body, and crisp acidity.
Lively and exciting. Black cherry, violet, dark chocolate character. Full-bodied, with firm silky tannins and a long, fresh and fruity aftertaste.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 18/20 points.
