Another triumphant success for Gloria, the 1970 is richer and fuller than the lovely 1971, with longer-term keeping possibilities. Dark ruby color with some amber at the edge, with a fully mature bouquet of sweet fruit, cedar, and a spicy, vanillin oakiness, this wonderful, rich, fruity, medium-bodied wine remains impressive. The finish is gentle and soft. This is a voluptuous, decadently fruity Gloria.
