The 2016 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle, which comes under the Domaine Duc de Magenta label, has a rich and powerful bouquet with scents of honeysuckle and jasmine on the nose albeit without the same delineation as other Chassagnes from Jadot. The palate is well balanced with a touch of bitter lemon on the entry, fat and ripe in the mouth, enjoyable if just missing the intellect and complexity of other vintages that I have tasted over the years.
