Harvested on August 26, Colin's 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets bursts from the glass with aromas of peach, pear, yellow apples, freshly baked bread and nutmeg. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and youthfully introverted, with fine tension and back-end grip. This is very promising.
Bottled. Fatter than many a Cailleret, and than the other Joseph Colin wines I have tasted. Not sure it suits it. I’d go for the St-Aubins from this address.
