The oldest vines date back to 1934. The plot is well placed on the upper part of Champs Chenys, not down in the dip. Altogether a deeper darker purple, some bramble, but otherwise red fruit, with some gentian notes, too rich a wine to start talking in floral notes, but there is an element of that. More new oak shows at the back, some orange zest notes, maybe 40% new wood. There’s a lot going on in this wine for sure!
