From Mazoyères, contracted fruit. Cask sample.
Dark cherry red. Dark and ripe in fruit but it is fresher smelling than the Corton just tasted. Chewy and firm but scented on the palate. Lovely savoury and rocky style to this wine even though it is fragrant on the mid palate. A baby but already showing dry finesse and elegance.
Black colour with light purple edge. A weight of major ripe fruit. Dense mulberry fruit with a drier finish. This is in fact from Mazoyères-Chambertin and shows some of that stony crunch at the finish.
