In contrast to the last two wines, here the wood is again very generous though it does not dominate the spicy and dense red pinot fruit that merges into a relatively lush, even opulent flavor profile that is supple and textured with impressive volume and mid-palate fat, all wrapped in a powerful, focused and long finish. This is a comparatively big '07 with plenty of dry extract.
Clear pinky red, soft and perfumed, yet with the first faint signs of maturity. More detail now in the bouquet, with a range of soft red fruits competing to fill the middle palate. Fresh finish although some wood tannins are also in evidence.
