The 2016 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots offers more fruit intensity on the nose compared to the Aux Brûlées: mascerated red cherries, cranberry, light pencil shaving notes and damp undergrowth. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin, linear and focused with well-judged acidity, gently fanning out with confidence on the finish. One of the best from the domaine this year.
