The citrus yellow, white-golden colored 2007 Millésimé Brut opens with an invitingly clear, fresh and quite intense bouquet of white flowers, lemons, lime blossom and hints of honey. Medium-bodied, slinky and elegant on the palate, the characterful Millésimé finishes with a firm, citric and persistent minerality. This is a tension-filled Champagne made from 65% Pinot Noir (from Bouzy, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Verzenay, Aÿ and Ambonnay), 30% Chardonnay (from Avize and Villers-Marmery) and 5% Pinot Meunier (from Binson-et-Orquigny).
A sleek, minerally version, creamy in texture, with hints of chalk and smoke underscoring the subtle lemon meringue pie, crushed black currant and graphite notes.
