This is complex with notes of sliced pears, ripe lemons, elderflower, citrus blossom and crushed stones. Full and rounded but very dynamic and lively with layers of fresh orchid and citrus fruit combined with floral undertones and a polished mineral texture. Long and persistent. Drink or hold.

(Frescobaldi, Gorgona, Vermentino, Toscana, Costa, Tuscany, Italy, White) This 11th edition of Frescobaldi's island penitentiary project is delightfully floral, with summer meadow and hay scents. Textural and zippy, it has a waxy, leesy character in the mouth with some earth and citrus peel depth, lifted by ripe yellow fruits, pine and those floral characters, along with plenty of salinity. The Vermentino and Ansonica come from two hectares of east-facing vines on iron-rich soils. (Drink between 2023-2029)
