The 2014 Monteverro is 40% Cabernet Franc, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. Most of the wine (80%) is aged in new French oak for 24 months. Grapes are harvested from clay soil sites and each parcel is vinified separately. This is a beautifully crafted and intense red wine that delivers power, complexity and elegant extraction. Dark fruit folds into spice, leather and tobacco. The palate is slightly thinner and more streamlined in this vintage
JS Beautiful aromas of almonds, hazelnuts, currants and dark chocolate follow through to a full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Balanced, delicious, long, precise and refined. Always an excellent Bordeaux blend from the coast of Tuscany. Drink or hold.
