The superb 2020 O Diviso comes from a warm and healthy vintage. They picked the grapes quite early (on September 24th) but with very balanced ripeness. It was the last plot to be harvested (always the last), but the bottled wine has only 13% alcohol. It comes through as aromatic, serious, elegant and balanced, reflecting a cooler place that even in a warmer year ripens slowly. It did ripen well this year and developed a full array of aromas and flavors, giving it complexity and depth and a fine-boned palate. It's one of the finest vintages of O Diviso and my favorite red in 2020. 790 bottles were filled in July 2022 from one single 600-liter barrel.
