A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate opens with seriously earthy scents of truffles, underbrush and mossy bark with a core of freshly crushed blackcurrants, blackberries and black cherries with touches of sandalwood, rose hips and pencil lead plus a waft of cedar. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with youthful, vibrant black fruit layers, with a firm, grainy frame and long, lively finish. 258 cases produced.
Flirting with perfection, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot aged 22 months in barrel) has a Château Latour-like stature as well as thrilling notes of blackcurrants, espresso, smoked earth, and a deep, gravelly, earthy minerality. Possessing full-bodied richness, a deep, layered mid-palate, perfect balance, and a monster finish, this tour de force is up with the crème de la crème in the vintage and needs to be tasted to believed. Hide bottles of 3-5 years, count yourself lucky, and enjoy over the following three decades.
